Innis Arden Amenities & History

History

The land that is now Innis Arden was originally a hunting and fishing retreat owned by William E. Boeing (of the Boeing Company).

The property included a game farm and a fish hatchery. The stream (now Boeing Creek) was dammed to form Hidden Lake and was stocked with rainbow and brook trout for Bill Boeing’s fly-fishing enjoyment.

In the early 1930’s, Mr. Boeing decided to close his retreat and sub-divide the 675 acres to create a unique community with 538 residential lots. Bill Boeing’s wife named it “Innis Arden” after a locale in Scotland she loved.
